Special thanks also to Embassy of Uzbekistan in London, Tashkent International Arbitration Centre, PraeLegal Uzbekistan, Rosenblatt Law, Barnes Law Associates, Littleton Chambers, Chamber of advocates of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The evening was filled with insightful discussions, meaningful networking, and a shared spirit of partnership — a wonderful step forward for the British-Uzbek Law Association’s mission. The session began with opening remarks and keynote addresses from Rupert D'Cruz KC (Littleton Chambers), Yulia Barnes (Barnes Law Associates), Sherzod Abdulkasimov (PraeLegal Uzbekistan), Marija Scekic (Squire Patton Boggs), and Simon FT Cox (Norton Rose Fulbright). Each of them shared valuable perspectives on the growing cooperation between the legal communities of the United Kingdom and Uzbekistan, as well as the importance of international dialogue and professional exchange.

The evening continued with the Norton Rose Fulbright Panel on “Energy, Infrastructure, and Dispute Resolution in Uzbekistan.” The discussion featured insights from Chris Down, Andrew Buisson, Shaheer Momeni, Charez Golvala, Sonya Hrytsyuk, Duncan Bagshaw, and Mirzaaziz Ruziev, who explored opportunities and challenges in Uzbekistan’s energy and infrastructure sectors and discussed the country’s progress in developing modern dispute resolution mechanisms.

It was a thought-provoking and inspiring discussion that highlighted the potential for continued partnership and knowledge-sharing between our two legal communities.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all speakers and panelists for their time, insights, and contributions to making this discussion so valuable and engaging. Your expertise and perspectives added great depth to the event.
